Anna Warburton Textile Designer

 Hello there,

I grew up and studied textile and surface pattern design in England and have now lived and worked in the USA for the last 20 years.

My career started in NYC, working for various print studios. In time I worked for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, developing printed textiles and products for Home.

Eventually I set out on my own as a freelance designer developing artwork, embroideries and repeats for a variety of clients.

- Anthropologie

- Tommy Hilfiger

- Juicy Couture

- Express

- Marks and Spencers

- PKaufman

- Clarence House

- Ann Taylor

- Kmart

- Pottery Barn

I specialize in hand painted and computer generated designs for all areas of surface pattern.  I also develop hand embroidery samples for various fabric applications.

I am inspired, truly, by all sorts of things. The colour of the sky on a spring morning in Virginia. Leaves and the ghost patterns they create when they have decayed on the path. Fabrics from the thrift store and Vintage wallpapers.  I have two favourite artists: David Hockney and Henri Matisse.

Dries Van Noten, Zandra Rhodes and Celia Birtwell - they always nail it for me in terms of printed fabrics, Raoul Dufy is also a favourite.....I could go on!

I am currently located in the Washington D.C metro area, where I live with my husband and our two children.

Please get in touch, I would love to hear from you.
